VVago Posts: 784 Rating: (52)	Hello, After migration from OP7 into OP77B ,The area pointer "ScreenNumber" with address (DB98.DBW 112) has been lengthened from 2 to 5 words .But we have atagwith address( DB98.DBW116 ) is over written in this case. What is the solution for this problem?

Takea look on chapter 5 ----> Migration from OP7 to OP77: SIMATIC HMI WinCC flexible 2008 WinCC flexible 2008 Migration Read page 126 Screen number The area indicators in ProTool are 4 bytes long. After migration, the area pointer is 10 bytes long. Successive area pointers may therefore overlap when you migrate the project. I think that you will need to change the length manually.

If your Area Pointer is a data block, it can increase by 5 Word for this Area Pointer. Please take a look: OP17 to OP177B Conversion issue

Hello, You have to do some manual effort when migration from OP7 to OP77A or B. Just read section 5.3.2 & 5.3.3 in the manual provided by Ste39. Hope this helps.

DB200) 5 words "new DB for screen number area pointer" 2-Open OB1 Add LDB200.DBW0 TDB98.DBW112 LDB200.DBW2 TDB98.DBW114 3-Download OB1 and DB200 4-Save to memory card. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd question: If we install the originalpanel (OP7)programmed by Protool after PLC modification Is this panel run O.K again? In this case screen number area pointer DB98.DBW112/114

The structure of this area pointer is different.
