Hi, I'm afraid it is not possible. You can only have entire redundant modules but not specific redundant channels. I'm afraid you can't even achieve module redundancy with such module. Please look at this manual under using I/Os on the S7-400 H. Best regards. H-H |

I'm quite sorry for such a late reply. (Just received email notification couple of days agoalthough the post is dated 16/4/2009) Quite strange but anyhow, Your question is a little bit general. For analog outputs for example, you need to group the 2 redundant output channels with diodes (for current summation). there are some solutions, you can use terminal blocks equipped with diodes, you can buy pre made board with diodes from Weidmuller or Phoenix contact, you can make your own. you can also buy a pre made solution from Siemens. For analog inputs, more alternatives show up. Dual output isolating barriers, transforming direct/indirect current measurement into voltage measurement thus you will need no diodes/Zener diodes. What I meant to say, when you choose your modules, you should probably know the diodes and zener diodes you will need from the manual. When you knowthe elements thatyou must have for appropriate circuit, you can start to think howto employ these elements in your panel. Hi Pioneer, Try using PIP instead of OB1 P1. Also donot forget to assign the PIP used to one of the cyclic OB's in the hardware configuration. Regards Nil |
