Hi, I have similar question: Is this allowed and safe tu run PROFINET and MODBUS TCP in the same network or it will cause some problems in the network (conflicts, higher network load)?. Here is the situation I have: I use CPU 3172-PN/DP. On integrated port I run my PROFINET network (several frequency converters, ET200S, AS-I masters, etc...) Now to this network I want to add device that can only communicate using MODBUS TCP. I investigated that I could use "S7 OPEN MODBUS / TCP Communication via the integrated PN interface of the PLC" (https://w3.siemens.com/mcms/topics/en/siplus/ric-telecontrol/Documents/ric-docu/modbus-tcp_funktionsbeschreibung_en.pdf) Will this mix be safe for my PROFINET devices?
