configuration problem in cp443-1

vinot Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	hi to all i am using S7 400 cpu, CP443-1 and scalance module, my requirement is configuring the scalance module in Cp443-1 CPU 412-2DP- 6ES74122XJ05-0AB0 CP 443-1 - 6GK74431EX110XE0 Scalance x208 -6GK52080BA102AA3 my problem is, CP443-1 is networked but ethernet node is not appeared, i Cant able to configure the scalance module in CP443-1,kindly provideyour valuable suggestions for myproblem.

INS Gold Member Joined: 4/6/2006 Last visit: 2/5/2024 Posts: 604 Rating: (56)	Hi, This CP443-1EX11 doesn't support Profinet IO controller functionality. This means it's not possible to add the Scalance in your HW Config. You need at least the 1EX20 or the 1EX41.

So you can create connections for example a S7-Connection to connect to an other S7 devices so you are able to send data from one to another. You can download your PLC over Ethernet. You can connect SCADA and/or HMI Panels over ethernet. It's quitte a lot which you can do. But all depends on what you need.

vinot Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hi Ins My requriment is communicating the S7400 plc (CPU 412-2DP) with 2 scada system. we are trying toestablish the communication through profinet.so we selected CP443-1, for making two Ethernet connections we are using scalance module. As per your above comment CP443-1(1EX11) is not a I/O controller. now how can i communicate two scada systems through profinet. If there is anywayto communicate two scada systems. Kindly provide your valuable suggestions to solve my Problem Regards Vinot

Look at the Tag management editor, under S7 Protocol suite, you will find the "Industrial Ethernmet" driver. You can create tages to your PLC on each of your SCADA stations there, using a standard switch to connect the nodes.
You will probably need a IE Softnet-S7 driver to use the computer's NIC with Industrial Ethernet; look at the following:

Look at the Online Help for Industrial Ethernet connections information, or look at the WinCC Communications manual (on your WinCC installation CD).
