I have installed this patch ABT_Patch3.01_28_965_4-2 and it appears to have a bug.

Once it is installed I can no longer go online using ABT Site to MSTP controllers (either via PXG3 or USB).

I have installed patch ABT_Patch3.01_28_965_4-2 and I still can connect to DXR2.M device via USB (RNDIS Driver) or BACnet Router PXG3 without problems.

Here some point that you should check:

- Have you installed the patch with Administrator rights? If not reinstall patch again

- Have you done a PC restart after the patch installation?

- Did the patch installation pass without any error messages? In the installation Pop-up you find a link to the installation protocol. Check, if there is any error message in the protocol.

- Please notice also the following information in the release notes => Patch installation doesn’t work if user name contains spaces

- Check if correct version of "Siemens BT H7 Communication Abstraction layer is installed. Correct version is V30.0.965. You can find check installed version under "Control Panel" and "Programs and Features. If this version is not installed. 

- If communication still not possible to a repair of ABT Site in "Control Panel" -> "Programs and Features". Try to install patch again after repair.

I am installing with XWP also. Do I need to follow the uninstall procedure in the release notes? It seems strange to

install XWP and ABT

then uninstall ABT

then Install ABT

then apply the patch.

Can I install XWP and ABT together and then install the patch?

Basically it's possible to uninstall ABT separately although it' not very known. 

You can find the uninstall.exe under ...\010_Tools\010_XWORKSPlus\ABT\Uninstall\  . You don't need to uninstall XWP.

To install ABT again, just use the installation setup of XWP again and tick only ABT. Or you install ABT directly form via ...\010_Tools\010_XWORKSPlus\ABT\start.exe

But of course you can also uninstall XWP/ABT together and reinstall both again and install afterwards the patch.

But however you uninstall/install don't forget to restart your PC each time.

And make sure you only combine XWP and ABT compatible version.
