I work for a charitable museum where we have a number of working expensive models, all controlled by individual 0BA8's.  I now have the opportunity to network them together so that I can receive error message texts to a remote location where I reside on my internal network using a TDE module.  Before I waste any of the museums money in purchasing the TDE modules, can I clarify a couple of things please.

I cannot see from any of the Soft-comfort functions how to set the IP address of the TDE in my program so that it sends message texts to it.  I know to tick the message destination in the Message Text block to TDE but how does it know the IP address where to send it?  Can I assume that you need to do this by the Network Project in Soft- Comfort program and the application is intelligent enough to tell the Basic 0BA8 the IP address?

Secondly, can I configure up to 8 or up to 16 0BA8's to one TDE module as per 2.1.1 of the manual?

Finally, does the TDE module have to be on the same IP Subnet as the 0BA8's or as long as it is somewhere on my internal network is all that matters.

So, if we refer to your example program, Logo8_2 and Logo8_3 cannot communicate with the TDE, only Logo8_1 can do this?

If this is correct then I can't really use the TDE.  All 30 of my Logo8's do not communicate with each other, I just wanted them to communicate with the TDE when they detected an error.

Sorry, I have not made myself very clear on what is existing and what I require.  What exists are approx 30, 0BA8 devices controlling 30 different models around themuseum, each model consisting of a number of electric motors.  There is one 0BA8 per model and it operates each of the motors at the correct time and sequence and also checks that the motor has actually moved, checks that the button the public pushes is not jammed in, checks for shorts in any of the sensor circuits and many other tests.  

Each 0BA8 can detect one of a possible 12 error conditions that would create a text message on their individual screen.  Each 0BA8 device is connected to our Internal network but they do not communicate with each other.  Their connection to our internal network allows me to access each of  them individually by a Web Browser and check to see if any of them are displaying an error message.

The problem I have is that I have to connect over our internal network to each one every day to see if any of the 0BA8's have detected an error.  What I would like to do is have one or two TDE's which would receive any error messages from any of the 0BA8's and show it on its screen, thus I would not require to connect to each one with a browser every day.

Just to conclude your helpful replies, am I right in saying that only one 0BA8 can communicate with one TDE?  I cannot have a number of 0BA8's communicating with one TDE, even if they only do it one at a time?

If the above is true, I would have to have a Master 0BA8 being the receiver of any error messages that are coming from all the other 0BA8's and then have this one Master 0BA8 communicating with the TDE?

Do you know the Logo Manual of 0BA8?
As is explained, with how many Logos can communicate with one Logo, only 8 in fixed communications.
For my proposal, I can not guarantee. You have to try it yourself, because you can not try it in the simulation with so many logos.
To make groups of 8 Logo. One in each group collects the data of the other 7 Logo.
Then define another main Logo, which collects the data of the other data collectors logos.

In attachment is a short example of my idea.
