i using cpu 1214 dc/dc/dc and communication module cm1241 rs422/485, communicating with toky temperature controller , i need read Set point & Process Value from controller & same i need to write Set value to the controller this is what i need to do.

i did a sample program with Modbus comm load and Modbus  master  Blocks same there is no error in program but rx/tx not blinking , physical connection 9 pin D connector 3,8 .

i dont know where i missed what .....

help me on this to success

Hello,

in this case I'll be test your code with 2 steps. For first try execute only MB_COMM_LOAD and check DONE status for TRUE. I expect your communication settings same on both sides, PLC and device. If you'll have first step ok, execute MB_MASTER instruction and check also Output statuses. How to propper set up instructions, TIA help is your choice. If you want, look to some other posts here in Communication conference, some users share their projects, you can look to. Don't hesitate ask next time, maybe better post pictures of your code.

Can you do a couple of screenshots of the RS422/485 send/receive communications configuration?  These settings define when the LEDs blink for RX, and for sending, you have to have successfully opened the comm port, and sent at least one packet.  You can also look at the module diagnostics to see if it detects any issues.

Also, a screen shot of the address used.  Did you use 4xxxx/40xxxx or just the xxxx for Modbus register number? Did you validate the MB_COMM_LOAD command returned a successful connection setup?

my wiring 9 pin D connector 3,8 for PLC side , other side temperature controller have TXD,RXD.

3---TXD,      8---RXD  i connect.same i check with interchange also but no result .

maybe little change on CM1241 with wait time, set higher value for test. On your code I don't see now some bad problem, you have all instructions with respective REQ memory, so you can test them step by step. Can you confirm Address of Slave - 2? If I can give you one recommendation (better), as non optimized block give to Master DATA_PTR P#DB3.DBX0.0 WORD 5 as your buffer is 5 words max defined. With LEN you can then request for different amount of data. If I can give you hint, try interconnect for test PC with some MB Slave application, also with propper Slave address as you need, then you can be sure about your PLC code functionality and can probably investigate problem on real device if not success. After download some changes to PLC, give it turn OFF/ON for sure. Give us info about functionality, check step by step DONE statuses as recommended before.
