I'm using a S7-1511-1PN (TIA V14) and shall read information from a XML converter connected to three different units.

Each unit has its own id, to read data from the correct unit, the id should be used.

The Modbus TCP telegram has a dedicated byte for this, called "Unit id".

Is it possible to specify this "Unit id" in Siemens ?

Hello Bryll,
in the Modbus instance DB you can find the variable MB_Unit_ID. There you can change it. You can find further information in the online help.

No, it is not necessary to initialize the block. But you should take care that you change it after the triggered job has been finished. It must not be changed during a running job.
