I am at a loss because recently issued 15th version of Startdrive is still not supporting S120.

Am I correct? Or they missed S120 in the line that I highlighted in green.

Also could someone shed the light on this "Access to drive settings via TIA Portal openness". What's the beast this "openness"?

S120 available since V14, with V15 only the named types of S120 are added.

 it wasn't meant to be normally written. I mean version release description.

What are named types did you mean?

A Siemens technician told me that with V14 Stardrive does not work well, there are bugs, better to continue to use Starter; with V15 it works fine. Is this true? Do someone have some experience?

I  and my coworkers continue to use Starter and old good Simatic Manager, because we don't need any additioanal costs associated with glitchy TIA and its derivatives. Moreover, we still are not allowed usage of that.

However, we already equipped one of laptops with 16GB RAM and 512GB reliable SSD in order to test TIA v14 SP1 and newest V15.

P.S. Completely forgot. i7 onboard is required as well, along with those hardware that I pointed out above.
