I would like to know if it is possible to use M200D Basic Motor Starter as standalone unit without connecting it to AS-I network?

What i mean: 24 V DC for electronics will be provided by external power supply and unit will be controlled in manual mode with built-in keypad. Will it work?

Is 24 V DC necessary for the unit to work?

Also I would like to know if there should be additional fuses on the feed side of the unit? I would like to connect it directly to power line by wall socket that is protected by circuit breaker. I don't know if i need additional protection?

You can use input functions if you do not want to use AS-I interface to control
