- The desired application :

Connect to HMI so I can display data in real time and also do some inputs and outputs. HMI address is set at the device.

- The Problems (Bugs) :

I cannot connect to the HMI. When I try to go online, TIA simply cannot find the device. I am able to connect to the PLC which is on the same remote network.

- Expected causes of the Problem :
No clue. Trying to find someone who is familiar with troubleshooting these connections.

Hello.

Going online with the HMI does not really have a function. It will not be possible to do if the IP address was not configured yet.

Set the IP address of the HMI on the HMI, if that has not been done yet. Now that the HMI is in the same sub-net range, attempt to download to the HMI. Feel welcome to share the steps you follow to do the download as screen pictures, if there is a problem there.

Maybe I was only able to download to device but not go online, even though they seem to use the same process...
