Ultramat 23 communication to Honeywell TPS

ry_fern Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Hello guys, Good day! I have this task to show the communication of several Siemens Ultramat 23 Analyzer to an existing Honeywell TPS. Honeywell TPS supports RS232/485(MODBUS). Ultramat has a RS485 but does not specify if it is Modbus. Other interfaces of it are Profibus and Ethernet. My question is, how can I possibly connect the Ultramat Analyzer to the Honeywell TPS Modbus serial IO processor? If there is a better analyzer, kindly suggest, the analyzer will be used for Continuous Emission Monitoring System and will measure CO2 and NOx. Thank you very much.

TimBig Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Ultramat don't talk modbus. You can use a NAU (network Acces Unit) to translate the (1 or more) mA signal to modbus.

evande Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Used a micro-PLC (Wago 750-842) tointerrogate Ultramat and Calomat analysers, process data and make available via Modbus (RS485 & TCP/IP). This was fortwo projects and systems have been running for a number of years with no problems.

The cost of the interface cards, the programming work and the coordination work between bothwill definotely cost more. Krish
