Import-User-1 Posts: 3609 Rating: (29)	Guest Hi,We’ve recently manage to get a S7-1200 CPU 1214C for evaluation. Soon my enthusiasm turned into a loot of frustrations. In short, my problem is that I can’t download into the PLC. I can ping it. I can see it as available device, I can flash the LED's, I can change the IP. Here is what I’m doing:Start new projectAdd a new deviceChange the Profinet IP address of the device to 192.168.1.105The IP address was previously assigned from > Online access…… to 192.168.1.106The device replays when PING-edCompile allDownload allExtended download to device windows pops up> check Show all accessible devices.Myplc is detectedClick “Load” and the result is “Connection failed, the selected online target could not be reached”. The form caption is Assign IP address (0132:000002).I’ve tried the following drivers PG/PC, but non of them worked: ISO Ind. Ethernet -> Marvell Yukon Gigabit Diagnostic looks okTCP/IP -> Marvell Yukon Gigabit ...TCP/IP(Auto) -> Marvell Yukon Gigabit ... TCP/IP -> NdisWanIp <Active> Diagnostic Failed SR Test: access point using this parameter set: ->S7ONLINE Error in function call SRMD_Set(..) 0_Einstein Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 12/23/2025 Posts: 16325 Rating: (2520)	Did you power cycle the CPU/PLC? If not, try that first. What firmware revision is loaded on the PLC? If it is less than 1.0.2 please upgrade to at least 1.0.2. What operating system are you using? If it is windows 7, it must be 32-bit. If it is win xp, it should work. As to which to use, if you can communicate by pinging, and you can flash the LEDs, it should go online as long as the software version matches the PLC firmware version. PLCs with firmware 2.0 or higher will not communicate with V10.5 SP2 of the TIA Portal. Hope that helps.

My experience with loading V2 firmware differs. I loaded the firmware, and could ping the PLC, but I could not connect via TIA Portal 10.5 SP2. I loaded FW 1.0.2 and communicated just fine. Maybe the original poster is having a similar problem.

bakerjw Posts: 126 Rating: (18)	If you cannot perform a factory reset of the PLC with the TIA Portal then try an empty MMC memory card. If clearing the PLC with a Simatic memory card, it should only have the following hidden or system files on it. __LOG__ crdinfo.bin You might also use the IPTool. I can dig dig up a link to it if needed. Once you get back top square one yuo should be fine.

MrPaiva Silver Member Joined: 6/29/2010 Last visit: 10/27/2022 Posts: 112 Rating: (63)	Only a tip, If the CPU with v2 firmware has a v11 program, maybe you cannot perform download to CPU with TIA 10.5 SP2, you have to do MRES, so you will communicate normaly with CPU by TIA 10.5 SP2.
