No description of what motor you want. Does it have a resolver built in? If you simply want to turn a motor to prove the hardware, then you can run an MC drive in open loop (without an encoder) to turn an induction motor. You don't need an OP1S as long as there is a PMU (Parameterising Unit) attached. I would recommend installing the Drivemonitor software - DownloadHERE See attached for cable details. If you want to run a synchronous motor, then you will probably need an encoder of some description. Induction, synchronous, stepper, torque, sliding rotor, ion propulsion, steam, internal combustion . . . . Details please, we cannot help you otherwise (Manufacturer / technology / type / part number) Regarding the F0020 fault, You can disable the drives encoder temperature response by setting P131=0. Can I assume you don't have a resolver cable connected? Is there a resolver attached to the motor? If the drive is configured open loop, then a resolver is not necessary P367=0 (Better to perform assisted commissioning I think) Find this under the "Drive Navigator" tab Regards, Graeme

Now with Your Helpwe have manage to run drive under simulation mode p372=1 and is working ok.(with out encoder p130=0) but still we have not connected the motor Can we connect the above motor to the drive Thanks Best Regards RK
