Darius Platinum Member Joined: 9/28/2005 Last visit: 12/9/2025 Posts: 2957 Rating: (243)	Hi, Well, hardware interrupts are not such a big deal and I don't think you will find any example program, unless someone could write you one, but on the other hand all needed information is here SIMATIC S7-300 CPU 31xC and CPU 31x: Technical specificationschapter 8.7.4. Read carefully and you will write program by yourself. Also, look at Step-7 help system and search for OB40-OB47. Here you will find internal info on variables used in those OB.

Dhiyia Posts: 56 Rating: (1)	Hi Darius Actually I need to now the proper way to execute the OB40, because I was configure one input ( I0.5 ) from hardware configuration as hardware interrupt input , but my program can’t execute the OB40 program when I0.5= true ... Thanks

I think it is executed, but maybe you confused with the OB40_POINT_ADDR bits ? You could make instruction inside OB40 which just sets any bit in M memory area and you will see if its executed or not. But execution of OB40 only dedpends on your HW configuration and once its configured correctly the it should execute OB40.

So once OB40 to OB47 (depending on the module) is called, you should query OB40_MDL_ADDR variable to determine, which module has caused an interrupt and after that you just decode inputs bit by bit.
