Display brightness problem with TP177A .. any help?

Tip: use a flashlight (under a slight angle) at the top off the screen to see more. Usualy a black screen means (almost) the end of the backlight or it's driver. Open up the panel and see if the connector is o.k. it's the one with only 2 wires at the top of the circuitboard (without power at the panel please, because voltage is high) If no luck, send it for repair. AbdelRahman ElSadawy Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Thanks, but I already tried the prosave but it is not working, is a problem in the communication. I used both MPI at the first time but it doesn't work. I used PPI at the second time and also it doesn't work. and of course I followed the procedures of the prosave setting. So, The 1 million dollar question, What is the recommended cable to be used between TP177A and the laptop or PG for the back-up?

Ayman Elotaify Diamond Member Joined: 5/28/2008 Last visit: 1/3/2026 Posts: 4522 Rating: (843)	Hello, You can use any one of the following cables: RS232/PPI Multi-Master Cable You can use the following RS232/PPI Multi Master cables for downloading a project: Order Number: 6ES7901-3CB30-0XA0 The RS232/PPI Multi Master cable (with 8 DIP switches) can be used if DIP switch number 5 is set to PPI/freeport ("0"). The cable must be dead for it to accept the change. Note: The USB/PPI Multi Master cable (Order Number 6ES7 901-3DB30-0XA0) E-Stand 05 can be used for downloadingsinceWinCC flexible 2005 SP1! USB PPI cable; 6ES7 901-3DB30-0XA0 MPI PC/MPI-Adapter and USB/MPI-Adapter are not released for transfer. Profibus-DP PC/MPI-Adapter and USB/MPI-Adapter are not released for transfer. If you do not have one of the above cables, I recommend you to contact your nearst Siemens representative to give you the backup you need. Hope this helps.
