WinCC Flexible 2005: "Tools" windows does not appear

mircoaie1 Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	When I select the item "Tools" from the menu "View" the "Tools" box does not appear (the corresponding icon on the menu become selected, but no box appear on the screen)! The file "Log00000.xml" located in the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\<MY_NAME>\Dati applicazioni\SIEMENS AG\SIMATIC WinCC flexible 2005" contains the following report: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for "Siemens.Simatic.Hmi.Utah.Library.ToolboxConstants" threw an exception. Close WinCC flexible 2.) open the file => C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\siemens ag\simatic wincc flexible 2005\ (sorry, that it is in german) orlook to this files => C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\<MYUSER>\Anwendungsdaten\siemens ag\simatic wincc flexible 2005\ ==> Delete all files except for the file for sample "1.1.1.6_109.8". 3.) Reboot your PC and start flexible again. Now it should be work. Regarts,

mircoaie1 Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	I' ve uninstalled and re-installed the entire software (WinCC Flexible + HotFix 5 + HotFix 7), but the problem does not has been resolved!!! Then, looking at the error message on the log file (described above, in my first post), I' ve suspected a font problem. I' ve replaced the "C:\WINDOWS\FONTS" directory with the same directory copied by another PC, I' ve restarted the WinCC Flexible and... the "Tools" box is reappeared! Now, every time I run WinCC Flexible, at the log file (C:\Documents and Settings\<MY_NAME>\Dati applicazioni\SIEMENS AG\SIMATIC WinCC flexible 2005\Log00000.xml) is appended the following report: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Toolbox : Successfully merged Add-On toolbox configuration file c:\programmi\siemens\simatic wincc flexible\wincc flexible 2005\Configs\SnapinSettings\toolbox_proagent.config --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The problem should has been resolved... I hope!
