CPU 414-4H Synchronization

Gopala krishnan Posts: 20 Rating: (0)	Hi, iam facing serious problem we have CPU 414 - 4H it was working fine last 2 years, One week before the master power supply card failed the redundancy started working in solo mode but we want check the redudancy cpu power supply some component value so we switched off the redundancy cpu after we switch it went to run mode but the communication with wincc not communicating. after this issue we take online both Master and redundancy but communication for wincc not came. During solo operation of the redundancy we upload the backup that we downloaded in master and redundancy operation then master came run mode and started communicating with wincc too but the redundancy stay in stop mode only. but when we stopping the master CPU the redundancy manually i trigger stop then run button it is coming to run mode but not communicating with winccc. During Solo upload it containing one cpu information while i check in the online of HW config, so we done the clear reset then redundancy operation backup i have that i downloaded in the master and redundancy then both PLC came run mode and the redundancy operation also perfect and it is communicating with HMI also but the probelm is not communicating with wincc

mr.kaps Regular Member Joined: 2/18/2013 Last visit: 10/13/2025 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi Gopala Krishnan, which driver is used in WINCC? what is ur communication TCP/IP or INDUSTRIAL ETHERNATE if u use named connection driver then WINCC communication is ok.in PLC if master CPU fail then other one is run mode ur wincc is always communicate to PLC because of ur using H system. in ur PC 1 CP1623 hardware is installed.

Raghu T Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi Mr.Gopal, Yes above what he said its correct..If u configuredfault tollerent connection (Named connection) than only u can able to communicate withWinnCC if once any one PLC faills . for this i think u already having CP cards in ur PLC Rack. and please make sure that u also having CP1613 (2NO's) to yourremote controllPC. If yes than check your "connection configuration" is its configured normal s7 connection it will not work ..u shud configure as a named connection. Thank you. Regards Raghava Reddy
