We have a Miltronics Ultrasonic "theProbe" which seems to get some unusual signals when the tank gets nearly empty, probably due to either the dished base of the tank or the heating pipes which are in the centre of the tank (a fair distance from the probe)

We've found additional parameters in the configuration (ECH,SSt,SIL,Hst,dIS,nA,nP,ES,EC,rST) which are not listed in any of the available manuals. These are found by pressing the 4 and 20 buttons together for 10 seconds.

I hope that some of these parameters may be for tuning the ultrasonic signal processor so we might tune out the unusual stuff.

Does anyone know where we might find the instructions for these additional Parameters that are not in the manuals?

SIL: window sill.
Hst: highest recorded temperature (view only)
dIS: days in service (view only)
nA / nP: noise average / noise peak (view)
ES: echo strength (view)
EC: echo confidence (view)
rST: factory reset.

So you can only experiment with the first 3 parameters. Changing ECH to 3 may solve your problem when the tank is near empty, but increases the chance of false reading due to the heating coil. Window sill increase to 90% also may cause better readings at low level, but will not solve the false reading of the heating coils.
WIth the Probe LU, you can manually shape the TVT around the false echo of the heating coils, and because of the possibility of making echo profiles, also find a better solution to deal with the bottom of the tank.
