Simotion D425 to S71200 TCP/IP communication

Debbie Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi All! I need to establish communication between a D425 drive and a S71200. I have been searching High and Low for information/examples and so on and cant find any information at all. I have to pass a lot of information back and forth and assume TCP/IP is the way to go. All in all I probably need to pass 500 reals into the drive and maybe 300 out of it along wiith Bools, ints dints and so on. Can anyone offer a place to start looking please?

The MLFB would be nice, so if your SIMOTION has an PN-Interface, you can use the I-device function (PROFINET communication)for example or the SIMOTION communication-blocks (https://www.automation.siemens.com/mdm/default.aspx?DocVersionId=38364558091&Language=de-DE&TopicId=32075862667) and the T-blocks on S7-1200 side (standard TCP/IP).

With the ProjectGenerator SIMOTION easyProject you are able to integrate this function into your project in a very convinient way. Both you can find on the SCOUT Utilities&Applications DVD.
