Modbus function code 3 Holding Registers

I found a reference (Link Below) it says 40001, but I have an IO schedule says it starts from 40000. https://www.automation.siemens.com/tf/WW/en/Posts/66876 Should I correct my IO schedule to start with 40001 or not? zahra hatampour Posts: 15 Rating: (3)	Dear MicroMan There is a difference between starting address in remote device and PDU start address which is really confusing . the startig address in PDU is one number less than starting address in remote device, I bring an example of "MODBUS APPLICATION PROTOCOL SPECIFICATION V1.1b3 " which is downloadable from www.modbus.org . I highly recommend you to study this document. it is only 50 pages. Attachment starting address.pdf (354 Downloads)
