Good morning, I have a small project involving a 0BA8 PLC and a TDE Display for an industrial, screw type air compressor which is driven by a 50KW inverter. The 0BA8 PLC primary function is to start and stop the inverter and the compressor, monitor the air pressure as well as the the oil and the motor temperatures. The secondary function is to alert the users of the following circumstances: 1. Oil temp, below 5"C (a heating resistor is activated) 2. Inverter output is present (3 x 220VAC) 3. Inverter protection circuit is active or not. 4. Requested air pressure is achieved or not. 5. Compressor maintenance is required or not. The problem arrised when one of the maintenance counters has finished counting and is activated. I have used most of the "normal" flags in my project and I need to visually alert the user of the compressor needing maintenance (such as air filter replacement). Every maintenance aspect needs to be AMBER in color. Every protection aspect needs to be RED in color. I cannot find the AMBER Color Flag for the TDE Display, which is described in the Logo! Soft V8 manual, and the Logo! Soft V8 Software in the little "Flag Window" description (when you double-click a flag, any flag, you can choose its number ... and there is a description of the special flags right under that box ... the amber flag is shown/mentioned there aswell) BUT you cannot find it .. the number 30 (for M30 Flag) is missing in the programming software. Can you be of assistance ? ... Thank You.

ixo65YOU lovely creature !!! ... there are 4 UDF's which simulate a special timer ! ... the second from the top had M30 in it ! It could've taken me all winter to figure it out !!! ... so many thing I have to think of ... this was the last idea on my mind ! The interesting thing is that when I searched for it, a "good Siemens soft" should've pointed out that UDF that contained it ! ... me love you long time Logo! friends ! Thank You !

Hello, you found the problem thanks to ixo65 before we were able to look at your program
You have a point here The Logo has been developed from a programmable relay up to a mini PLC in a few years, the software is way behind compared to the big brothers in the plc world. There is a thread somewhere with things that can be improved, a X Ref should be one of them, so feel free to post it there. There are a lot of things to improve the Logo and Logosoft, but that will raise the $ too, do we want that or just try to go to the limits of the system and rest with the few minor things. Regards, Marcjan |
