We using virtual machines for develop/maintain Siemens applications.

While we put de VM in bridged mode, we don"t have any problem with de "find accessible device". But when we put them in NAT mode, there is no possibilities to find our devices.

In the two cases, we can ping devices. "The problem" is really in "Tia accessible device"

(We have to use NAT mode because our IT compagny doesn't permit to have two mac adresses on 1 switch port (only 1 mac by ethernet cable) ).

Someone have an idea to solve this problem?

Hi,

this is not a problem of TIA.
With the NAT Mode of the VM you have a "virtual" Router between the Host and the VM.
In this case the Networktelegrams which used to find devices are blocked by the Router so you can't see devices from the other Network.

In this case you should use USB Ethernet Adapter inside the VM or a second Networkadapter in Bridged mode which is directly connected to the PLC.

this type of telegramms are blocked by many routers not only bye the virtual one.

The problem ist that this telegrams send a ARP bease broadcast to the net and th router will block this to reduces the network traffic.

where is the Problem?
The discovery is not possible with NAT , a online connection should be possible if you enter the IP to which you would go online, no problem.

Or can you specify what exactly you mean or Problem what you have?
