I understand that TIA CPU such as S71200 also support modbus TCP/IP but they are not redundant we can achieve software redundancy for switchover.

As per my understanding it may not be possible to use CP343 directly with 400-H system without S7300 CPU as a data concentrator. Please comment. Can it be possible to use S7-1214C CPU with its available PN interface for modbus communication? We are planning to mount S7-1214C CPU on din rail it will communicate with 400-H via switch & not through profiibus IM. Further all the S7-1214C will communicate in standalone mode with 400-H & we will achieve data redundancy in software. Attachment Rough Architecture.png (615 Downloads)
