Hi,

I have some Rosemount PT 3051C on Profibus PA. I have added the GDS to S7 400 H AS and process values are getting communicated. I have assigned them from HW config and these instruments are available in Process Device Network view. I can find and assign device tags and PA address from PDM Life List. Whenever I try to upload to PG, I get error as "OM: Some parameters were not loaded". Once I had downloaded to one instrument and it stopped communicating with PLC. I had to make a Factory Reset to the instrument and I was able to do so from PDM. Even I have calibrated them from PDM. My problem is Upload and Download.

I have some 8732E magnetic flow transmitters of Rosemount. In this case, I can not even assign them from HW config. I am getting DD compilation error for both "Rosemount PA Stand Alone" and "Rosemount PA Step7" type.

My STEP7 is V5.5 SP3, PDM V8.0 SP2 Update 2.

I have downloaded all the latest EDD files downloaded from manufacturers website as they were not available in Latest PA Device Library.

Please note that on the same PA loop, I have some Siemens PS2 PA electro pneumatic positioners and E&H Ultrasonic Level transducers and they are working absolutely fine in all respect.

I need some urgent help on this.

I recommend contacting Rosemount and verifying that you are using the correct fileset with SIMATIC PDM. In the past I have seen Rosemount issues where this is the case.

I have exactly same PDM version and same Rosemount Flow meters and getting the same errors ;)

Was your problem resolved? If yes, how?

i guess you have an wrong EDD file. please update the EDD file and try again.

I get this a lot with Rosemount instruments =/

Have you checked the new 2015 EDD DVD? May be some improvements in there

Rosemount stuff doesn't seem to play nicely with PDM (which is understandable, they want you to buy Emerson). Sometimes you can get some data back by using the 'wrong' but similar, EDD file, and there are the universal EDDs too.

I've used PDM + Rosemount a few times now and each time it has been a total chew, particularly when you compare it to using E+H stuff.
