I am new in STEP-7 programming, I have used SFC1 to get system Date and Time. Then Retracted Date, time in Bytes. Now I want to compare Hour, Minutes and Seconds with 0 to perform my further operation, but I can't use Compare (I-I, R-R) instruction, so fir that I want to convert these Bytes into INT in Ladder to perform this.

Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You don't have use any special instruction to convert Byte to Integer. Use Simple MOVE instruction to move a BYTE data to a INT data and then compare INT value with zero.

Sample logic is shown in the attachment.

DateAndTime-Format has just a length of  8 bytes. the Bytes have BCD-Format 

So if you have declared a Variable in DB e.g. DB1.DBX0.0 Byte 8, just access with

DB1.DBB0 for year

DB1.DBB1 month

DB1.DBB2 day

DB1.DBB3 hour

DB1.DBB4 minute

DB1.DBB5 second

DB1.DBB6 and the least segnificant decade(first 4 bit) of DB1.DBB7 are milliseconds

Mosts segnificant decade(last 4 bit) of DB1.DBB7 are Day of Week
