Dear Siemens Support,

I've tried installing the new UPD6 by downloading it directly from your webpage, since the Siemens Automatic Updater can't find it.

Now I've received this message:

"Siemens TIA Portal V13.0 Upd6 is not compatible with an installed newer version of "Totally Integrated Automation Portal"

What can I do?

I've got UPD3 installed and working.

What version of TIA Portal do you have?

There are updates for TIA Portal V13 and there are updates for TIA Portal V13 SP1!!

There's a difference between V13 SP1 and 'just' V13? Was not aware of this.

So the new updates is only for V13 and not SP1?

TIA Portal V13 SP1 UPD3, WinCC Advanced V13 SP1 Upd3

TIA V13 SP0 Update 6 is the latest in the SP0 branch.
TIA V13 SP1 Update 3 is the latest in the SP1 branch (at this moment).

TIA V13 SP1 Update 3 is the latest TIA version.. the one you have.
But...
There are regular hardware updates (HSP)
that is not always covered by the TIA software version.

What is the root "problem" having you doubt if you had the newest software?

That I simply were unaware that there is a difference between SP1 and TIA portal, had the impression that SP1 was an extended update of TIA portal. 

Not a branch of updates itself.. I'm having a lot of crashes lately when trying Runtime / PLCSIM in combination, where it crashes or operates veryyyy slooooow.... But that's entirely another problem and I've got contact with Siemens support :)

Trying to create a faceplate which is connected to a UDT FB, but whenever i go in RT and PLCSIM, it crashes due to lack of system ressources, or other things..
