i want to configure a simple PUSH BUTTON application in Wincc explorer v7.0,

i refer every manual but not getting success,

could anyone guide me STEPWISE that how to do it,

i want to configure simple push button application,

so that button can make bool bit high while it is press by left mouse key,

and get low when it is released,

please help, ASAP.

Hello gabbar,

create a binary tag (named for example: "BinaryTag" ) in Tag Management.

In Graphics Designer please create a pushbutton, create an IO-field connected to the binary tag.

Click on push button, click on "Events" in Object properties. Click "Button / Mouse / Mouse click. Add a VB-script:

Dim binTag
Set binTag=HMIRuntime.Tags("BinaryTag")
binTag.write 1

So, on a click you will change tag to 1 (TRUE).

In addition you can read this tag before changing:

binaryValue=binTag.read

Another way would be to create a Direct Connection, if you don't like using VB. From what I understand, you want to set the tag to High as long as the button is pressed. Here's the way I would do it.

For this, first create a 'WinCC Push Button Control' in the Controls>>ActiveX Controls section from Object Palette.

Then in the properties of the button, Events Tab, select Mouse Down entry (for when the mouse button is pressed down), right click next to it and select Direct Connection. Set '1' in the Constant field for Source and for Target, set the Tag you want to toggle.

Similarly, create a Direct connection for the Mouse Up entry (when mouse is released) and set '0' Constant in source side and the same tag on the right side Target.

That should work.
