Dear Experts,

 I need help in Configuring CP 243-1 and S7-200 SYSTEM.

Here are the model numbers

* CPU 226 216-2BD23-0XB0 ( 1 unit)

*EM 231 231-7PB22-0XB0     (1 Unit)

*EM 231 231-0HC22-0XA0     (1 unit)

My Rack is

[CPU 226]----[EM 231]----[EM 231]----[CP 243-1]

and i want to connect CP-243-1 6GK7 243-1EX00-0Xeto it for Programming it using ethernet rather than MPI or PPI..

Is it possible? and if it is possible then why cant i do that? i have tried but i can not establish a connection and get errors in configuring CP 243-1, all i want is just to connect s7-200 system from my Laptop for programming   and monitoring.

Please guide me to configure it and going online , download/upload.

Hello,

You need to configure the CP243-1 and download the configuration using MPI/PPI/DP way. After it should work with your PG and ethernet connection. Of course with 'similar' IP addresses...

Dear UMENCHO,

I have configured CP243-1 with Ethernet Wizard and downloaded it using MPI cable..but when i try to communicate using PG/PC interface it doesnt find IP address..i might have wrongly configured CP-243-1..kindly guide me through the process of configuration.

Kindly tell me what values i should write in the boxes of attached Picture..

Module Command Byte?

Number Of connections?

As i mentioned above all i want is just to communicate with my S7200 rack via ethernet

i.e programming downloading uploading monitoring..

I am looking forward for reples..
