In one of our machines hmi tp1200 has been used and i want to take backup of

it by ethernet cable but i can't access the rear of the panel to connect the cable.

the hmi is on profinet network.Is it possible that i connect the pc to

switch(the scalance switch has been use in the machine) and

take backup of the hmi?

Yes this should be possible. When you Computer and The Panel has a fixed IP Adress in the same Subnet and the Ping works. you can do a Backup with Prosave of your Panel.

look in the Control Panel of the Panel at Transfer. Here in Channel 2 you can set ethernet or PNIE.

When you want to Backup or Transfer Project you should use in the Engeneering Computer the same setting as in the Panel.
