Upgrading WinCC Basic v13 SP1 to WinCC Professional V13 SP1

Grim Reaper Bronze Member Joined: 6/5/2009 Last visit: 11/11/2025 Posts: 158 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, I had installed TIA v13 and later upgarded it with SP1 (with download over the internet). I installed Step 7 v13 Professional and along with it came WinCC Basic during installation. I have a requirement to install WinCC Professional and use the comfort panels and the other additional expert features. I checked the forum for updates and found that update for Professional version was available but could be installed only if Professional version was existing. I got the setup file for Professional version (V13). But I was unable to install it as it said the version of WinCC (Basic version) was of a higher version (V13 SP1). I request urgent help in having this requirement fulfilled. How can I overwrite Basic version of WinCC with Professional version. HugoD Posts: 439 Rating: (112)	Hello Grim, So, if I understand correctly, you already have WinCC Basic V13 SP1 install and you want to upgrade it to WinCC Professionnal V13 (no SP1) and then install SP1 of it after? I you don't have the whole WinCC Pro V13 SP1, I suggest you to uninstall WinCC Basic V13 SP1, install WinCC Pro and install SP1 of Pro. OR Start the SP1 of Basic V13 to see if you can uninstall just the SP1. Best regards, Hugo

Open the Programs and Features in the Windows Control panel, select the entry "Siemens Totally Integrated Automation Portal" and click uninstall. Now the uninstall start and you can select WinCC Basic for uninstall in the package dialog. After the uninstall you can now install the WinCC Prof. Regards Christoph
