paw123los Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Greetings ! I hope someone can help me with a following problem. I'm trying to get runing Prodave 5.6 with C#. I've made some dllimports and load_tool works corectly, but I recieve AccesViolationException "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." I don't know what is wrong. These are my dll imports [DllImport("w95_s7.DLL", EntryPoint = "load_tool", SetLastError = true, CharSet = CharSet.Unicode, ExactSpelling = true, CallingConvention = CallingConvention.StdCall)] public static extern int load_tool(int no, [MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.LPStr)]string name, [MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.LPStr)]string adr); [DllImport("w95_s7.DLL", EntryPoint = "db_read", SetLastError = true, CharSet = CharSet.Ansi, ExactSpelling = true, CallingConvention = CallingConvention.StdCall)] public static extern int db_read(uint dbno, uint dwno, uint amount, byte[] buffer); [DllImport("w95_s7.DLL", EntryPoint = "db_write", SetLastError = true, CharSet = CharSet.Ansi, ExactSpelling = true, CallingConvention = CallingConvention.StdCall)] public static extern int db_write(uint dbno, uint dwno, uint amount, byte[] buffer); And the code I use is byte[] buffer = new byte[10]; uint blnr = 1; uint start = 1; uint amount = 1; int result= 0; try { result = db_read(blnr, start, amount, buffer); } catch (Exception ex) { MessageBox.Show("ex.Message"); } I know that Mr. Ramsing managed to have C# and prodave running - maybe You could help. florianglardon Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have to do the same thing. After are little lookup, I decided to make a communication DLL en C++ to link the prodave dll with my C# code. Everything is already written and functional in C++, then it seems easier to make this. I already had some problems to use directly some C++ DLL in C#. That not really easy to write the "C# header" to import a dll, specially with pointers and special variables type. Let me know if everything works.

Actually I tried also to find something on the net but for some reason wish the people who managed a code that works a some kind of private messages and stuff like that... nevermind. Attached you'll find a working example of a c# class which uses Prodave.dll to communicate with the CPU. Do not hesitate to modify it for your own purpose and maybe also correct some errors which I didn't find yet :-). Greetings for all, Damian Attachment Prodave.zip (256 Downloads)

It need to be also informed about required version of Prodave, as I look to source of class, it is Prodave v.6 probably. I was prepared some applications with C++ long time before and Prodave is Great library for my opinion. For my tasks was enough. Thnx again...
