I am adding an IM-151 device to my existing, working profibus setup that I am working on in TIA Portal v13.

Unfortunately IM-151 does not work and lights up the BF led (SF is dark).
IM-151 power module also lights up SF led.
S7-300 lights up SF and blinks BF1.
TIA Portal in online mode reports that IM-151 is "not reachable".

I reduced my setup to only S7-300 CPU and one IM-151 I/O device to try and pin-point the problem. Specific module models are:
S7-300: 6ES7 315-2FH13-0AB0
IM-151: 6ES7 151-1BA01-0AB0
        6ES7 138-4CB10-0AB0 (power)
        6ES7 131-4BF00-0AA0 (I)
        6ES7 132-4BF00-0AA0 (O)
        
Based on what I could find on the forum I checked the following:
*The profibus cable should be OK because it worked fine in the original setup
*Tried setting the terminating resistor on profibus to OFF and ON, no change
*There are no empty module sockets in IM-151
*Double, triple checked that the "DP address" on the device and "PROFIBUS address" in device properties in TIA are the same (address 4 for IM-151 and 2 for S7-300)
*The "bottom DIP" switch (under the DP address) of IM-151 is set to OFF (setting it to ON didn't change anything anyway)

I am at a loss. Please advise !

I´m afraid to say you, that TIA is not supporting your module. it is too old

Look at the list in following FAQ. On page 9 and 10 you find the supported IM151-1 modules. There is no 1BA01.

Which devices and modules are supported by STEP 7 Professional and WinCC Professional in the TIA Portal?

 I´m having the same issue with TIA Portal V13 and a IM-151 (6ES7 151-1AA02-0AB0). I imported the GSD for 6ES7 151-1AA0*-0AB0  found here:

 Are you saying that even if you use GSD files and import the IM-151-1 as an external device (not in hardware list) it will not comunicate?

DP Master is a IM 151-8 PN CPU. I will try to add this CPU to a Step 7 V5.4 as a workaround...
