Hello, 

I am having a problem regarding the ET200M 153-2BA10-0XB0. 

I need to use a fail-safe AI card 6ES7336-4GE00-0ABO with the module, the configuration is made in Step 7. 

For some reason I am unable to use the AI card with the 200M, I checked the compatibility and it all should work fine. 

I would be grateful for any advice,

can you explain what you mean exactly?
Do you have the I/O Module in the catalog , if no then it can be that you must installed the Safety Software Package.

Or do you get a error when you configure the module in the Et200 station?

I have installed the 6ES7 153 -2BA10-0XB0 gsd file from: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/113498/profibus-gsd-files-%3A-et-200m?dti=0&lc=en-WW

I have the profi safe 6ES7 336-4GE00-0ABO available in my hardware catalog, when I try to drag the card to the module i get the error :(Insert 13:6) " Only modules can be inserted in a rack"

I tried the same thing with the older module 6ES7 153 -2BA02-0XB0 and it all works fine.

can you make a screenshot of the message and a screen from which catalog entry you select the AI Card?
If the ET200M is created with the GSD File you can't plug a module from another Catalogentry, only the entris from the GSD can plugged.

So please check that you use the correct Catalog Entry.

Do you have a fail-safe PLC in that project?

If you want to use failsafe components you also need a F-CPU.

that was the problem, the module I am trying to insert is not listed in the entry.

We also tried to create a project with an non-Siemens fail-safe CPU together with ET200M HF  (153-2BA02-0XB0). My try was using the product GSD file on the non-Siemens programming tool, and, for my surprise, none of the Siemens FS-IOs (SM 326 and SM336 series) was NOT included in this GSD.

By opening the GSD file with a text editor, I confirmed that my modules were not listed on the GSD.

Can't understand how those devices achieved the PROFIsafe certification...

the PROFISafe certification tells nothing about a integration of the F-I/O in a 3rd Party enineering environment!
The certificates are for Siemens products with Siemens Engineering SW like Step7 or Distributed Safety .

According item 9.9 of IEC 61784-3-3, manufacturers of F-Devices shall support some required features, and between then is described to provide GSD support, among others. :P

correct , but this only for PROFISafe certified devices, and the ET200M Interface modules dosn't have this certification !

Only the F-I/O Modules have the certification, not the Interface, so the GSD File of the Interface must not support the F-Peripherie !
