I am doing Safety Programming by using S7-300 PLC, i want to do safety programming and also configure the sick Laser sensor(S3000)  in hardware configuration.

But when i am  configuring the sick sensor into the PLC, it is getting configured but in the sick sensor "4.(DOT) " is coming and  error means Waiting for valid input signal.

Can anybody tell me what is the meaning of the Valid Input signal in this case.

And how to give valid input signal to S3000

Have you checked the Wiring as per the Manual Page no. 112

Diagram 7.5.1 if you are using the S3000 Standard.

do the wiring as per the Diagram it will solved the problem.

I have connected Sick sensor without any problems since two days with this configuration 

input delay 3 ms 

Short Circuit test : lock 

Behavior after channel Faults :Passivate the Channel 

Sensor Supply : External 

Evaluation of the Sensor : 1oo1 evaluation

you use a S3000PN? Please Show the configuration. The post from MAZENJER is when you use a S3000 wired to ET200S.

I want to do one task, i have to generate the SICK laser sensor S3000 alarms in Simatic HMI and i the PLC i am using is S7-300  AND I am using the Profisafe programming.

Can anybody tell me how to generate the profisafe alarm and SICK sensor (S3000) ALARMS in HMI
