Hello,

I am facing a really weird problem with Fail-safe DI card (MLFB: 6ES7 326 - 1BK02 - 0AB0). When I am configuring the card with internal supply 'Vs' to loop power the sensor, the card works perfectly fine and reads the digital inputs.

However, when I am configuring the same to work with external loop power supply, by disabling the setting 'Internal Sensor Supply' in F-DI cards' parameter tab, I get a diagnostic message "Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) error on data message frame". The card does not read any IOs and I do not get any SF LED indication.

Kindly support if someone knows the solution !!

CRC signature error during communication between the CPU and the module has occurred, for example,

1. due to electromagnetic interference in excess,
2. faults during sign-of-life monitoring error,
3. in case of voltage drop
4. standard program accesses F-SM.

Does any point applies to your problem?

I know some more reasons of the CRC signatur error:

5. security-relevant parameter in HW-Config were changed and the changed F-program was not compiled and loaded.

6. DIL-Switches adjustment is not rigth

7. F-Call is not called in an Interrupt-OB(e.g. OB35)

I guess No. 5 could be the reason of your problem.

I also get CRC error message on my AI6x15bit cards (336-4GE00-0AB0), I have two cards and same error on both 

I have checked the possible reasons suggested erlier:

I dont think so, there should not be any (very low) interference where the cards are now

 HW compiled and downloaded and blocks compiled and downloaded without changing anything in between.

I restarted the CPU also.

hi Kicken,

This is the time in which the cpu have to recieve two valid F-telegramms. If it not receives it between this time, the module goes into safe state.

This time can be set in HW-config. Its factory settings is 150ms. Just try a higher time, like 2000ms. If it works, you can go down with the time

Did you mean "Transfer of parameters to module" in "Startup" tab?

I tried different values here and found out that 300ms worked ok (default was 100ms).

I also changed the cyclic call interval of the safety program from 100ms to 200ms, I don't know if it had any influence on my problem.

no, I mean the F-monitoring-time in the F-parameters of the F-module where the CRC-error comes from.
