I need to convert real number from winCC hmi to Siemens time in format t#xs for PID controller (FB41) TI and TD input values. I'm using only a simple I/o field to input this information. Can real values be converted somehow?

Does anyone have better ideas how to input these integration and derivation time from hmi to pid controller?

The TI & TD are are not S5T Format. in fact these are in "TIME" format, which  actually has same structure as DINT with time value in ms.

You can Convert the Time to Real in WinCC  Tag Definition ( REAL to DINT )  and scale accordingly so that while it is stored in PLC DBD as Timer format ( ms ) and displayed in WinCC As real.

Also you can convert in PLC logic :

L ... ( Time in ms )
RND

T      ( Time in "TIME" format )

Well, why don't you take ur real and convert it to DINT and use a L , T command in AWL ?

So you don't need to do nothing in wincc

You can declare ti and td as a long and in conversation select long to s5 time

Now the only thing is as you enter any number it will take it as in ms value so you can easily do it by scripts or simply by the linear scaling at tag management
