I've been trying for day and I can't get to load configurations into my FM350-1 counter.

Did you first installed FM350-1 configuration package?

If not, please install it first and then open your project again. You can download the configuration package from the link bellow:

I already have installed the configuration software. Isn't this software for Step7 V5.0 or higher?

I'm working with Step7 TIA Portal V13. When i connect a encoder the FM350-1 counter is counting upwards and downwards.

I want to connect a 24VDC initiator and when I download configuration to my plc it doesn't change to the new parameters.

My question is, can I use the buttons I discribed in my previous post. I can't seem to get the buttons highlighted.

I did not worked before for FM350-1 with TIA. I have used it many times with classical Step7.

I don't know exactly what is the importance of these buttons, but also there is no connection between PG and the FM directly. So, what to download to it. All configuration you made should be compiled and when you download the hardware configuration it should affect the counting.

In any case, here's an example made for TIA including a project. It's made for TIA V11. But you can migrate it easily to V13.

Sample program FM 350-1 and FM 450-1 zEn23_01_FMx50-1.zip for TIA Portal V 11.0 + SP 2

I think, Ayman is right!

It was not possible to connect direct to FM350 because it is "just" an easy counter card.

After "compile all" and download to CPU, the Parameters of FM350 are updated also...

(OK, perhaps there are some new TIA bugs thta prevent that, but this is an other Story )
