Hi all,

I need to attach an Allen-Bradley E1 plus overload module via a profibus communication module. This is my first time configuring Profibus communication. I've read that i would need to install a .gsd file to my TIA Portal. I've found the .gsd on Rockwell site (http://www.rockwellautomation.com/global/support/networks/gsd.page). When trying to install it, it give me an error with a lot of syntax error...

Can someone try to install the 193-EPRB .gsd file to it's TIA Portal and if possible, give me instructions how to do it. I did rename the file replacing .mht by .gsd. 

And by the same time, if anyone have programming example of Profibus communication, I would definitely like to see them!

I know i posted the question only couple of minutes ago. But i found the solution, i was to delete my post but i will leave it here so if anyone has the same issue as me can at least refer to it.

The thing i was doing was renaming the .mht file removing the .mht and replacing with .gsd.

I had to copy the whole content of the .mht file that is actually opening in internet explorer... and paste it in notepad. Saving it with the file name 193-EPRB.gsd.

Then install it in TIA Portal.

Done...!!! If anyone has problem with those .gsd file can maybe try this!

Ok!!! Stuck again.....

Can't make it work. If anyone has already worked with those 193-EPRB module can help me. I can't figure out how to set the node adress on the module... no dip switch... Do i need a programmer or something like this...
