PROSAVE CAN'T FIND MY KTP400 TO UPLOAD THE BACKUP.

HOW CAN FIXED?i'm stuck in loader screen

I had the same problem as you. The solution is easy. On your Panel you can find the mac-addresse.

1. Open Simatic ProSave.
2. Choose in the Register "General" your Panel.
3. Change in the Register "OS Update"
4. Set the Setting "Reset to factory settings"
5. Type your mac addresse in.
6. Click "on Update OS"

Be Careful: The Update proccess could be need until 15 min to work. In the following you can find a screenshoot from my ProSave Settings.

I DO THE SAME STEPS BUT THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION BETEWN THE PANEL AND PROSAVE.

THE IP ADRESS ( 192.168.0.2) IS ASIGN TO THE PANEL  AND MY ETHERNET CARD IP ( 192.168.0.10).

maybe the version of the Image  V11.00.02.05_01.03 is not compatble with my last backup with Image version: V11.00.02.00_02.15.

The Panel can't get an ip-address cause it stops in the boot process. With the mac-address it should be work.

Did you start the restore process with OS Update button? Did you wait? With Dialog do you see?

Did you control your Network Settings?

YES I START WITH THE OS UPDATE BUTTON AND I WAIT BUT THERE IS NON CONNECTION.

MY NETWORK IS WORKING GOOD. ALL THIS FOLLOWING STEPS ARE DONE ECXEPT THE LAST ONE WHEN THE PROSAVE SHOULD DETECT MY HIM TO UPDATE IT.

1. Start-> Control Patel -> Set PG/PC Interfaces S7ONLINE! and choose ISO Ind. Ethernet->"my eth card name"
2. HMI - power ON , start TIA portal ORPrimary Setup Tool,in menu Online-> Accessible device, wait to find your HMI
3. go to Online diagnostic ->Function -> Assign IP adress (in TIA) OR straight to the HMI ethernet node with 0.0.0.0 IP (inPST), change IP for 192.168.0.2, and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and confirm.
---You will See in the HMI a message blinking, stating your new IP address!
PST will probably give you an error just after setting the new IP address, just ignore it. You can try to ping that IP, it should reply.
4. Now start Simatic Prosave, set IP:192.168.0.2 on the first tab
5. in OS update tab, mark "Reset to factory settings", it will enable the MAC Address input
6. Copy the HMI's MAC Address (it is possible to see it in the bootloader screen, on the bottom, or even printed on the back of the HMI).
7. Click "Update OS", it will ask you to confirm. Go ahead and it will say "boot your HMI"
8. Disconect the power, wait 10 seconds and put it back again, ProSave should detect it and start the reset to factory process, wait patiently and it's done.

Should use windows XP and flow the  steps :

1. Start-> Control Patel -> Set PG/PC Interfaces S7ONLINE! and choose TCP/IP Ind. Ethernet->"my eth card name"
2. Now start Simatic Prosave, set IP:192.168.0.2 on the first tab
3. in OS update tab, mark "Reset to factory settings", it will enable the MAC Address input
4. Copy the HMI's MAC Address (it is possible to see it in the bootloader screen, on the bottom, or even printed on the back of the HMI).
5. Click "Update OS", it will ask you to confirm. Go ahead and it will say "boot your HMI"
6. Disconect the power, wait 10 seconds and put it back again,ProSave should detect it and start the reset to factory process, wait patiently and it's done.
