we are replacing master drive 315KW with sinamics G150. for control there is local a controller connected with CUVC on serial bus.

can we use the same controller for G150, by using a serial to profibus converter.

if not then what will be solution.

Can you explain what kind of application or control you need 

For controlling G150 drive you need use CU320

We would need to know exactly what type of controller and profibus converter you would be using to be certain, but the CU320 that is in the G150 can be configured with the same telegram structure as the CUVC.

Issues that might come up are on the Profi Master side. I do not know what type of converter you would be using but there may be data in the Profi communication that is lost that would be used by a true Profi Master.

If the drive could not communicate directly and you must use the old controller, you could put in a S7-1200 to act as a communication proxy and bring in the serial data and pass that out to the G150 through Profibus or Profinet. This could add unacceptable delay into your control however.
