Can the old Milltronics Hand Held Programmer be used for the earlier versions of Multiranger 200?

r_p_williams Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Can the old Milltronics Hand Held Programmer be used for the earlier versions of Multiranger 200? we have for instance a SN PBD/E2140007 Multiranger 7ML50332AA102A in our mill stores I cannot find a part number for the old magnetic mount IR programmers, added as an accessory during ordering a Multiranger Plus in the old days, maybe 10A4-131, maybe now a 7ML58302AH, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from multiranger 200 program.

danw Gold Expert Joined: 3/28/2010 Last visit: 1/9/2026 Posts: 1209 Rating: (222)	I have been told that all infrared handheld programmers produce the same output code for the same position/location of the button (x/y coordinates; row/column), even though the label on the button differs from handheld model to model. For instance, the direction of the arrow buttons is noticeably different for ultrasonic vs the radar handhelds. But the 2nd button from the left on the lower row (or any other position) produces the same 'output code' on all handhelds. So if you have a documentation of what the handheld functional layout is for a particular device (like a Multi 200), you can use that as a 'template' to know the location/position of which button to press on the handheld.

Levelmans Posts: 124 Rating: (45)	That´s right , only the overlay is different. Please note, that the handheld of the Multiranger has been changed to a new version. The version with the ordercode 7ML1830-2AK has beed replaced to the new compact version A5E36563512. Please fond also the attachment. Hope this helps !
