if you use a PC Based HMI then yes you can display it to the TV which is connected to the TV.

One more possibility with HMI.

If it is Smart TV may be android based  then you can use the sm@rt client app and show the HMI screen on TV. never tried but it may be one way.

If it's ethernet cable, then you just need to worry about screen resolution. If TV screen resolution is same as HMI screen resolution then no problem. Otherwise you have prepare separate projects with different screen resolution.

I used a quad out HDMI to 4- 70" TVs. I have also done this with Display Port outputs as well. Smaller monitors on that one, but same action. PC based can use what ever monitor(TV) you want to connect. Just keep in mind your resolution when selecting displays and HMI page layouts.

I know I'm coming late for this but, how would you do it? , shouldn't I need to run the runtime on the screen , and have it had a Runtime Licence?

Run Sm@rt Server on a PC (with HDMI etc) - and use the client to point to the IP address of the PLC.

The HMI pages are then mimicked on the Television.

I had some issues with web authentication and certificates but only a few clicks required to resolve
