We have SINUMERIK 840D too, Hard drive of PCU is error, NCU connect PCU through out enthernet connection, and we want to replace PCU 840D with PC. How to set up PC or do you have accompanied software for PC to connect NCU.

 Can you make sure --your NC system is 840D power line or 840D solution line. and from you picture posted I don't see HDD error, I don't see PCU to NCU communication error.

can you make clean what do you really want? if you use 840D sl, PCU is using Ethernet connect to NCU, that is good.! You NCU has MPI port? do you want to use MPI as communication connecting PCU (or PC) to NCU?

make question clean then I may give you suggestion

PS: I just check your picture --you system is 840D sl, as you have NCU720 on the screen.

Thanks for your reply. Please find enclose to view all picture. All communication connect is good. This problem is i want to replace PCU 50.3 like picture with Normal Computer. This replace is possible? If possible, What software do i need? i will buy them.

PS: I find many topic, i see 2 software "sinutrain-for-sinumerik-operate-v4.7-ed2" and "HMI Advant version PG/PC v7.6".  i don't know these two software is fit my request. Please give me advice.

I checked your picture to my email, you have 840D sl, i did not test HMI for PC to 840D sl, 

I am not sure. 

and I think your ask admin is not Siemens SW. it is possible OEM SW--grinding m/c is very like to use OEM SW

 You have options to communication you PC (HMI Sw installed) --

#1 use Ethernet

#2 use profibus/MPI  cable--this you need CP5512,
