We are using Simatic PCS v7.1 wit two servers, 1 ES and 5 OS, But our operating systems are slow and sometimes getting hanged.

Our supplier suggested us to install antivirus as viruses are hapering performance. so we bought symantec endpoint security but it blocked named connections.

Kindly suggest correct antivirus or alternate ways to improve performance.

Which Version of Symantec Anti Virus do you use?

Chich winCC Verison is included in PCS7 V7.1 (im sorry im only using plain WinCC)?

I think you will not find a release of your current symantec Version together with older WinCC Systems. so the best way should be to lool in the whitepapers as it is posted already.

Hello, you can choose any leading antivirus. But before that do compare between your choices (in the comparing websites, of course) to see the CPU loading by the antivirus. Some antivirus supply perpetual antivirus (Enterprise edition with no expiry date).
