the X indicates the HW-Edition of the module, the same as for the SIMATIC modules.

In your case the Siwarex has the HW-Edition 6.

Thanks for your reply. I have two SIWAREX FTA (7MH4900-2AA01) modules with hardware editions 6 and 7. Does the SIWATOOL communicates with both of them in the same way? (The installed one in the line with HW edition 7, and when I provide a module with HW edition 6 to the vendor during troubleshooting, he faced some difficulties to communicate with the old one with HW edition 6).

I think, he couldn't go online with that SIWAREX module (HW edition 6).

Note: The module had been there in our warehouse since 2009.

Will the SIWATOOL work with both Windows 7 & 10?
