CTRL_HSC_EXT =does not work does not count pulses

CTRL_HSC =OK

The description in the system manual is a bit thin but seems good enough.
Do you have EnHSC as true in the HSC_Count data?

The English descriptions of the HSC_Count structure is attached.

problem in the next when I made a project with a function CTRL_HSC_EXT and when it was fed into the controller, he gave me the following message:

Why are you upset about the message?
Surely the message is very clear to what the intent of the software is:
- The data block needs to be restructured and reloaded
- Using TIA V14 SP1 means that the older TIA V14 SP0 will not be able to read the hardware. (Same situation as before)

Frankly I see no real problem, though Siemens is dreadful when it comes to compatibility to other versions of TIA. Notice the single and double direction arrow below.

V10.5 --> V11 SP0 <-> V11 SP1 <-> V11 SP2 ..
      --> V12 SP0 <-> V12 SP1 ..
      --> V13 SP0 --> V13 SP1 <-> V13 SP2 ..
      --> V14 SP0 --> V14 SP1 ..

I have an interest in your case - I am going to use the CTRL_HSC_EXT function for the first time on a firmware V4.2 S7-1200. Did you resolve your core problem with the instruction?

Yes that is a dreadful situation.

As "luck" would have it, I am in the process of transitioning from TIA13 to TIA14. I am spending some time to see what changes are available in TIA V14 SP1 Update 3.

Earlier this week I was researching the HSC . Studying the System Manual I found some helpful tips. What you ask is attached as a PDF.. an extract from the manual. There are more information there too.

I will only be testing my efforts for a project later the coming week. Any hints you could provide when you test yours, will be most welcome.
