I have the same issue now and don't understand how to make V20 to accept the setpoint via Modbus. I write the freq value in 40003 (setpoint) and can read the same required value in 40101 (HSW) register, but when I start the drive with DI1 the motor rotates with an old frequency value and shows the old value on the BOP.

Split from Sinamics V20 MODBUS communication problem.

Check the value of p0700. It should be 5 i.e. comand source selection MODBUS. If it is 2 or 1, then drive will run depending upon command source either by terminal or by OP.

Did you solve it mike? I have the same problem, parametres p0700 and p1000 setting is 5.

Please check the value of p2021 & p2023. User should set MODBUS address in P2021 & in P2023 you should set 2 i.e. RS485 protocol selection = MODBUS = 2. After seting P2023 reset the power of inverter.

P700 and P1000 setting is 5. i have factory resetted the vfd and tried cn011

r0967 shows 44e when ON/OFF1 is 0 and 044f when bit 0 is ON.

Parameters P1074 shows 2018.1 as main setpoint.

Still the same problem, is not an adressing issue.

P1074 is not main set point, it is binector for disabling additonal set point. Please check the control word sequence & check set point value in r0020.

The command of my inverter is through terminals, and the reference speed is send by Modbus. The communication is fine, I'm sending the freq to 40003 and reading the value from 40101 and its the same. The inverter is running but the frequency is 0, even though parameter 40003 and 40101 are not 0.

Do I still have to write in command word even is mu command source is terminal?
