Hi,

I am having an Absolute Encoder. It works fine anyhow there is a fault on it. The CPU Diag Buffer says nothing about it, but the device module information says Slave Specific Diagnosic Data and Watchdog activated. I checked the hexadecimal fomat to analyze. It says Positioning Error.  What does that actually mean? The evice manual not giving much more information. If an Encoder of any make Positioning Error Message what is the remedy?

The DP Master is an S7-317(6ES7 317-2KF14-0AB0), the Slave is a TRC Encoder(TR CE65M).
