If you want to simulate your XWorks software incombination with Desigo CC on the same machine you need to asign 3 IP number to the same ethernet adapter.

For example:

192.168.0.100 for the PXC controller you want to test

192.168.0.101 for XWorks if you want to go online with the simulated controlller

192.168.0.102 for Desigo CC to go online with the simulated controller.

The simulator does not work with BAC0 but with UPD port A000

In the simulator you need to change the communication properties for the IP setting and stop and start the simulator within te simulator (do not close the simulator)

In the connection properties for XWorks and Desigo CC you need to select the adapter with the propper IP adres and the UPD port A000. You should now be able to simulate your Desigo CC.

I also got it to work with Desigo CC in my host machine and Xwork from a VMWare session.

I believe that I followed your directions to the letter but this is not working.

I am trying to simulate the controller and connect it to Desigo CC and also to go online in XWorks on the same PC.

I have created 3 IP on my ethernet adapter and the set the one the PC is using to 192.168.10.3

192.168.10.1 Controller

192.168.10.2 Desigo CC

192.168.10.3 PC

In Network editor I configure the controller and Desigo CC station to these IPs and port A000

I also Configure the BACnet driver to this adapter and the correct IP address and port A000

And when I try to connect from XWorks to the simulator I choose the same adapter and 192.168.10.1

I change to IP for the simulator and STOP and START it.

Neither Desigo CC nor XWorks are able to detect the simulated controller on 192.168.10.1?

Do you have any idea what I could be doing wrong?

You probebly don't have an actieve adapter. Try again with a switch and a cable atached to your laptop/computer. An alternatieve is to add the microsoft loopback adapter and add the ip adresses to that adapter.

The problem was that the simulator shows the IP in a strange way after it has been changed 10.42.101 instead of 10.42.10.1, I had typed in 10.42.010.001 but that was wrong, 10.42.101 works just fine.

In my case, I have installed the Microsoft Loopback adapter and added 3 IP's: Desigo, XWP and AS simulator. (192.168.10.1 up to 192.168.10.3)

It only worked if I'm connected by an ethernet cable to a switch. On the first attempt I was using only WiFi and did not worked even with the Microsoft Loopback.

I thought that the network adapter was always active but it seems that we have to be connected to a physical network.
